A crisp October evening was met with decorated trunks, Halloween-themed music and costumed children and adults Tuesday as the Shippensburg Community Parks & Recreation Authority celebrated its annual Fall Festival in Memorial Park.

The free family-friendly event allowed children to go trunk-or-treating from a line of 25 vehicles decorated with various themes. The winners of the trunk decorating contest included a red pickup truck decked out in scary skeletons, with a masked Jason Voorhees creeping nearby.
