Members of St. Peter’s AME Church on Stewart Place in Shippensburg are heartbroken after a message of racism -- the N-word -- was written on their walkway in red chalk.

Church trustee Anderson Edey said after the congregation saw the message that was written sometime Saturday night, they stood outside and prayed for whoever is responsible for it.
