A Shippensburg resident of nearly 13 years has received support on his request to have something in place that would protect members of the LGBTQ community from discrimination of employment, housing and public accommodations.

Michael Bugbee, a victim of housing discrimination on two occasions, attended the Nov. 7 council meeting, and voiced his request during the public comment section. He asked for a nondiscrimination ordinance that would be inclusive of all people of any sexual orientation, or gender identity.
