A cohort of six candidates, unified under common priorities and concerns, swept the races for six seats listed on Tuesday’s General Election ballot for Shippensburg Area School Board, according to unofficial results.

The “Team for Community Success,” which includes two incumbents, two businessmen, an attorney and a former police chief, ran on similar themes: bettering communication between the board, district employees and taxpayers; improving long-term fiscal planning, and better prioritizing finances toward academics; increasing academic performance at the middle school and elementary levels; and voicing criticism for proposed plans of the new multi-purpose stadium project.
