A ground-breaking ceremony for the largest solar project in Pennsylvania took place Friday on top of a plot of land on Mowersville Road in Newburg that once was home to the late Violet and Arthur Ashway.

Their sons, Blaine, Roger and Carl, later took over the more than 100 acres of land, part of B&C Farms, in 1991 and eventually sold the land to Glenn Dice in 2004.
