Celebrate some of the most beautiful sounds of the season at the Newburg First Church of God next week, with one of the biggest Christmas trees in the area!

This year marks the 45th annual Living Christmas Tree program at the church, and organizer’s are a little anxious, and sad at the same time, about this year’s performance. Longtime tree program organizer extraordinaire, Sandy Hummel, has passed her greenery expertise onto June Keeseman and other members of the church who have years of experience helping with the program. Hummel has been part of the program for almost as long as the tree has been part of the community holiday experience. However, this year, due to her very busy schedule which includes caring for herself and her family, she decided it was time to step back and let the younger folks put on the show.
