Newburg Road Crash

Two unknown age males suffered moderate and serious injuries when the Jeep they were in left the 1200 block of Newburg Road in Southampton (Cumberland) Township for unknown reasons, went into a culvert and rolled over, ejecting them both from the vehicle at 2:38 p.m. Saturday. Upon arrival on the scene, emergency personnel found the Jeep on its roof with both patients in a grassy area. Both were treated on the scene for their injuries and transported to Holy Spirit Geisinger Hospital -- one by Air Medical helicopter and one by ambulance. The landing zone was designated at the Shippensburg University practice field. Pennsylvania State Police-Carlisle investigated the crash.            

Emergency personnel from Vigilant Hose Co., West End Fire & Rescue Co., Friendship Hose Co. EMS, Shippensburg Area ALS, West Shore EMS & ALS, Shippensburg University Police, Life Lion Air Medical and Fire Police assisted on the scene.
