Baltimore Road Crash



An unknown age female operator escaped serious injuries when she lost control of the vehicle she was driving, sheared a utility pole and knocked a transformer to the ground in the 900 block of Baltimore Road in Southampton (Cumberland) Township, at 6:36 p.m. on New Year’s Day. The vehicle crossed the road and hit a tree before stopping in a yard. The driver suffered minor injuries. Pennsylvania State Police-Carlisle investigated, and did not release details by press time Monday. Emergency personnel from the Vigilant Hose Co., West End Fire & Rescue Co., Shippensburg Area EMS & ALS and Fire Police assisted on the scene.
