Sausage, hot pretzels and beer added a German flavor to the inaugural Oktoberfest Saturday evening in downtown Shippensburg, and some attendees even went a step further by breaking out their Lederhosen and steins.

Downtown Organizations Investing Together (D.O.I.T.) organized Shippensburg’s version of Oktoberfest at the newly opened venue at 10-16 E. King St., which included lots of food, crafts, music and places to bask in the autumn sun with family and friends.
