Students at Shippensburg's Dance Academy XIV now have more room to twirl, leap and plié.

Owner Amanda Chesnut cut the ribbon to mark the opening of the studio’s new space at 1 E. King St., in the former Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter Thrift Store. The studio was previously located on the second floor of 16 W. King St. The old studio is still under lease until November. It is currently vacant, and Chesnut said there are no plans for future use at this time.
