Newville Together

These ‘Newville Together’ yard signs promote community unity, and benefit Neighbors in Christ.

The Borough of Newville is hoping to bring unity to town through the coronavirus pandemic with the sale of yard signs, which will also benefit Neighbors in Christ.

“In an effort to show our support for each other, we have arranged to have 100 yard signs made. These signs come with a stake and are 18-by-24 inches. Signs cost $10, with $6 of each sale being donated to Neighbors in Christ, a nonprofit organization that helps to meet the needs of Big Spring area residents,” a news release from the borough reads. “Due to the COVID-19 crisis, this organization is in desperate need of funds.”

Borough Manager Fred Potzer said there was a suggestion to build some unity in town during the crisis.

“We were originally going to do it with American flags on a smaller scale. However, council president Penner got a price on the signs, and it was suggested to give the profits for the sale to Neighbors in Christ.”

To order a sign, simply complete the form online at:

If you are a resident of the Newville Borough, your sign will be delivered to your front door. Residents outside of the borough can pick up their sign at the Newville Borough Office at 4 West St. (call ahead please at: (717) 776-7633).

Payment can either be in the form of a check made out to “Newville Area Events,” or cash in an envelope with your name and labeled “Sign.” Payments can either be deposited in the drop box at the Newville Borough Office, or can be taped to your front door to be picked up on the date of delivery.
