The Shippensburg Bloom Festival, typically held in June, and the Shippensburg Beer & Wine and Uprise festivals, typically held in September, have officially been postponed to 2021.
“As the safety of our community and our vendors are of the utmost importance and after lengthy discussions, the committee has made the decision to postpone this year’s event until 2021. The committee looks forward to welcoming everyone back for next year’s family-friendly Bloom Festival!,” a news release from the Bloom Festival Committee reads. The Beer & Wine Festival Committee also issued a similar statement.
A message from the Uprise Team is posted on their website: “After much prayer, and following the guidance of our state and local officials, it’s with great sadness that we share the news that we have come to the incredibly difficult decision to postpone Uprise 2020 until next year and have rescheduled it for Friday-Saturday, Sept. 17-18, 2021, at the Shippensburg Fairgrounds. Due to the current restrictions and unrest in our country, we feel it would not be possible for us to provide you with the Uprise experience that you’re so used to. We know this is sad news for many people, but we believe it to be the right decision. Please know that we did not make this decision out of fear, but out of respect and safety. For those that are currently holding tickets, stay tuned, additional information will be coming your way soon. Plans have already begun for Uprise 2021, and we look forward to seeing you back with us. God bless you and stay safe.”
