Carrie Hyams

Attorney Carrie Hyams to replace Kirk Sohonage on November ballot for judge in the Cumberland County Court of Common Pleas.

The Pennsylvania Department of State's Bureau of Elections took action recently to officially place the name of Carrie Hyams on the Cumberland County ballot for Judge in the Court of Common Pleas. It did so after proceedings in the Commonwealth Court initiated by Kirk Sohonage, to have his name removed from the ballot.

The Cumberland County Republican Committee selected Carrie Hyams during a special meeting held Sunday, Sept. 29, and submitted her name, in accordance with all requirements set forth in the Commonwealth Court order. No objections were filed by the Oct. 2 deadline, which enabled the Department of State to take action.
