Lantern Afternoon Tea

Newburg's Christmas in the Country committee will host a Lantern Afternoon Tea at Heritage Restored, a circa-1800s historical barn in Newburg, on Oct. 27. The tea will feature a variety of pretty china, homemade seasonal delights, and a fashion show of vintage wedding gowns and accessories.

Traditionally, 2019 would mark the third annual Old Home Lantern Tour for Newburg’s Christmas in the Country committee; however, this year the group has decided to change things up just a bit by offering a Sunday afternoon tea.

The Lantern Tour began in 2015 as a way to showcase the town’s rich history by giving folks a sneak peek into the historic homes in and around the borough of Newburg and in Hopewell Township. It was originally decided that the lantern tour would be held every two years with different homes and dwellings being featured each year. Committee members are positive the tea’s venue will be equally pleasing to attendees.
