4-H National Youth Science Day

The 2019 4-H National Youth Science Day is currently open for registrations for youth ages 8-14. For more information, contact the Penn State Extension office in Franklin County at: (717) 263-9226. Seating is limited.

Franklin County 4-H will be hosting National Youth Science Day at Penn State Mont Alto campus from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8. This year’s challenge, “Game Changers,” teaches kids how to use computer science to solve problems and engage with topics they’re passionate about. This event is perfect for first-time and beginner coders ages 8-14.

“Game Changers” uses a computer-based activity to teach kids important computer science concepts and problem-solving skills, creating real-world connections between computer science and civic engagement.
