State Association Excellence Award

Cumberland County Conservation Director Carl Goshorn recently received the State Association Excellence Award. Cumberland County Conservation District Manager Carl Goshorn was honored for his outstanding efforts that have furthered the activities and accomplishments of conservation districts on a state-wide basis, by the Pennsylvania Association of Conservation Districts (PACD).

Goshorn, who has served the Cumberland County Conservation District for more than 30 years, was presented with the 2019 Conservation District Employee Excellence Award. Goshorn was honored for his dedication to environmental protection in the county. Through his leadership, the conservation district has seen significant growth; the district participates in six state programs, hosts nine schools for the annual Envirothon and has MOU agreements with 90 percent of the county’s municipalities.
