Library Book Sale

The Friends of the Coy Library, located at 73 W. King St. in downtown Shippensburg, are busy at work preparing for two upcoming book sales. The first will be held Aug. 14 and 15, in conjunction with downtown merchants’ Ship Sales. Tables will be on the sidewalk in front of the library with a large selection of books for sale. The second outdoor book sale will be held on Aug. 29. The library will be closed all day and the parking lot will be available for many tables of books. All adult books will be priced at 25 cents, with children’s books selling for 10 cents each. The sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Lisa Seibert, Book Nook manager, said this is a collaborative effort with volunteers from the Friends and the Library Board. She hopes that many patrons will stop to browse and purchase books.
