NOTICE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Board of Supervisors of Southampton Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, that it will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, June 16, 2020, at 6:00 o'clock p.m. prevailing time regarding the matter described below. The hearing will be held at the Southampton Township Municipal Building, 200 Airport Road, Shippensburg, Pennsylvania 17257. In addition, the Board of Supervisors will consider for adoption and may vote on the adoption of the following related Ordinance on Monday, June 22, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. at its regular meeting, or at a meeting at a later date occurring no later than Monday, July 27, 2020. Due to the length of the Ordinance, the entire text is not set forth herein. A summary ofthe principal provisions thereof is as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF SOUTHAMPTON, CUMBERLAND COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, VACATING A PORTION OF TOWNSHIP ROUTE 318 (T318) KNOWN AS CRAMER ROAD, PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF TITLE OF THAT PORTION OF THE SAID ROAD TO THE OWNERS OF PROPERTY ABUTTING SAID ROAD; AND PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ANY ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT WITH THIS ORDINANCE. If enacted, the portion of Township Route 318 (T-318), known as Cramer Road, located in the Township of Southampton, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, lying between the northwest boundary of land now or formerly of Beistle Company and continuing to land now or formerly of Shippensburg Investors, L.P., would be vacated and therefore closed to public use. By operation of law, that portion vacated and closed would revert to the owner of property abutting on both sides of the said vacated portion, being the Beistle Company. The portions of Cramer Road lying between (a) U.S. Route 11 and the northwest boundary of land now or formerly of Beistle Company, and including a cul-de-sac at the southern end of the Beistle property and (b) the Shippensburg Township line and land now or formerly of Shippensburg Investors, L.P., as well as a cul-de-sac at the eastern end of the Shippensburg Investors, L.P., property, would remain open to the public. NOTICE IF FURTHER GIVEN that a copy of the proposed Ordinance is available for examination without charge at the Southampton Township Municipal Building, 200 Airport Road, Shippensburg, Pennsylvania 17257.
