INVITATION TO BID The Supervisors of North Newton Township, Cumberland County request bids for the Rental of Paving Equipment with an Operator to be effective through December 31, 2019 and including the following pieces of equipment for an estimated 40 hours of use. 1) Triaxle Dump Trucks 2) Asphalt Roller vibratory static minimum weight of 20,000 lbs. 3) Asphalt Paver 8' - 13' wide 4) Milling Machine (self-loading) 4' cutting drum 5) Tack Oil Truck 6) Grader / Road Maintainer For complete specifications and bid forms, contact the Township Secretary at 717-776-7665 or write North Newton Township, 528 Oakville Road, Shippensburg, PA 17257. Proposals must be submitted on forms supplied by the Township and submitted in a sealed envelope clearly labeled "Rental of Paving Equipment Bid Proposal". A performance bond in the amount of 10% of the contract shall be furnished by the successful bidder within 20 days after the contract is awarded. Once opened, bids shall be valid for a period of 45 days. All bid submissions must comply with the PA Public Works Employment Verification Act 127 of 2012. The Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to award the bid in the best interest of the Township. Sealed bids are due by 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2019 and will be opened that same day at approximately 6:30p.m. during the Board of Supervisors meeting at the Township Park Community Room, 528 Oakville Road, Shippensburg, PA.
